The European Society of Radiology

The European Society of Radiology currently counts 69,300 members in good standing from 157 countries (as per November 30, 2016).

This makes the ESR one of the most important institutions in the field of radiology, aiming to promote radiology and to highlight its importance in medicine worldwide.

Application

Application or renewal of your ESR 2017 membership is open until August 30, 2017.

Please note that the ESR 2017 membership will not entitle you to benefit from member registration rates at ECR 2017.
Member registration rates at ECR 2017 will only be available for members who have activated their ESR membership 2016 before August 31, 2016.

Full Membership

Radiologists
(€ 11 per year)

Active radiologists residing within the boundaries of Europe, as determined by the Executive Council.

Full radiologist members in good standing have the right to vote in the General Assembly and to stand for office.
 

Professionals of Allied Sciences
(€ 11 per year)

Professionals of allied sciences (such as radiographers, hospital managers, physicists, etc.) residing within the boundaries of Europe, as determined by the Executive Council.

Full allied sciences members in good standing will have the right to vote in the General Assembly but may not stand for office.

 

Corresponding Membership

Corresponding Membership
(free of charge)

Radiologists and radiology residents or professionals of allied sciences engaged in practice, teaching or research residing outside Europe.

Corresponding members are not entitled to participate or vote at the General Assembly.

Membership in Training

Radiology Residents
(€ 11 per year)

European radiologists in training who are registered on a formal training programme officially recognised by an institutional national member society.

Radiologists in training have the right to participate but not to vote at the General Assembly.
 

Professionals of Allied Sciences in Training
(€ 11 per year)

European professionals of allied sciences in training registered on a formal training programme with activities at least in part related to radiology or an allied discipline.

Professionals of allied sciences in training are not entitled to participate or vote at the General Assembly.

Note: This membership category also includes students.

 

Retired Membership

Retired Membership
(free of charge)

Former Full members who have retired from all clinical practice. This membership type can only be allocated by the ESR Office.

Retired Members have the right to participate but not vote at the General Assembly.

Voting period: January 16-29, 2017

Entitled to vote: All ESR 2017 Full Members in good standing as of January 15, 2017, 24:00 (CET)

Please note that the finalisation of your membership subscription, including payment and validation of your proof of profession, may take some time. In order to make sure you are eligible to vote, we strongly recommend settling your membership fee and providing your proof of profession by January 9, 2017 at the latest.

ESR Full Members:

  1. individual European radiologists and/or radiologists residing within the boundaries of Europe as determined by the Executive Council (Full Radiologist Members) and
     
  2. individual European professionals of allied sciences and/or professionals of allied sciences residing within the boundaries of Europe as determined by the Executive Council (Full Allied Sciences Members).
