SIGN THE ALLIANCE FOR MRI PETITION |
The Alliance for MRI aims to safeguard the future use of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) in Europe through an EU-wide exemption for the medical use of MRI and related research from any exposure limit values set in the Physical Agents 2004/40/EC (EMF) Directive.
This petition will be sent to European institutions, national governments, parliaments and other decision-making bodies to enhance the profile of the Alliance for MRI and demonstrate the significance of this issue.

ECR 2010: RADIOLOGY TRAINEES FORUM (RTF) PARTY – TICKET RAFFLE |
The ESR is inviting 200 radiology residents to the RTF Party for free! The party takes place on Friday, March 5, 2010, during ECR 2010, and tickets will be raffled off shortly before the ECR. All ESR 2010 Members in Training attending ECR 2010 who register for the congress before February 21, 2010, and provide us with a proof of their resident status will automatically be entered into the draw for tickets. The 200 lucky winners will be notified by email shortly before the ECR and informed where to collect their tickets.

The ECR Photo Competition is back, and this time we are testing the obvious creative power of the radiological community by enhancing the contest with a tricky theme: ‘the creation of knowledge’. We are asking you to interpret this phrase in any way you see fit and send us your photographs by February 8. The best submissions will be put on display in a special presentation area at ECR 2010 for all to see, so let your imagination run riot, and show your colleagues the true range of your ‘imaging’ expertise!

All ECR 2010 abstracts can now be accessed from your desktop, laptop or smartphone, via the online Scientific Programme Planner. Explore the entire scientific and educational programme by session type, topic and date, and search for abstract texts, authors and abstract titles with this user-friendly tool.
The system features a host of options to plan, print and export your personal itinerary for the whole congress, and is now also optimised for smartphones, allowing you to synchronise your schedule with your phone’s calendar and even co-ordinate with your colleagues.

ECR'S SOPHISTICATED SPEAKER SERVICE
The ECR digital preview system (EDIPS) will be online from February 8! It will enable you to prepare your presentations, upload them to the congress venue’s computer system in advance, and test their functionality right away. In addition, you will have the option to edit your presentations and check their statuses.
Further information will be sent to ECR 2010 presenters by e-mail, including all relevant data and guidelines.

ESR & EUROPEAN COMMISSION: JOINT eHEALTH SESSION AT ECR 2010 |
The ESR is very honoured that the ICT for Health unit of the European Commission has accepted the invitation for a joint session at ECR 2010. The session, entitled eHealth: Legal and technical challenges for radiology will take place on Saturday, March 6, 2010, 12:30–13:30 in Room I.
The presentations will highlight how far eHealth can provide solutions to the various challenges currently facing European health systems. There will also be time allocated for discussion with the EC representatives.
