The Ethical Compliance Subcommittee of the ESR Professional Organisation Committee has drawn up a Code of Ethics for radiologists. It is a living document, which will be continuously updated according to the development of the radiology profession.

The EIBIR summer school is a multidisciplinary course which brings together young researchers from a variety of different research backgrounds, including engineering, physics and medicine. The course covers a range of topics including imaging modalities, quantitative image analysis, and clinical applications.

The 2013 Oncologic Imaging Course (OIC) will be held in the beautiful city of Dubrovnik, Croatia, on June 27-29.

This popular course, taught by renowned oncologic imaging specialists, will provide practical, up-to-date reviews of imaging approaches for the most common cancers of the chest, abdomen and pelvis. It will also feature an extended, in-depth review of best practices in breast imaging, covering basic concepts as well as emerging clinical issues and advanced imaging techniques.

Diabetes, cancer and cardiovascular disease are three of today’s major health problems. But we are on the verge of a revolution in their treatment, thanks to cell therapy. Transplanted cells act as an ‘active drug’ by producing hormones, destroying cancer cells, or regenerating damaged tissues. However, there is still a major hurdle between the laboratory and the clinic. This video showcases how prominent ENCITE scientists have joined forces to overcome this hurdle, translating their research into clinical practice and helping to make cellular therapy a reality, not just a dream.
