President's Message

As President of the European Society of Radiology I am delighted to hereby kick off the ECR 2022 abstract submission period. With its theme ‘Building Bridges’, ECR 2022 will create a forum where radiologists and other medical professionals can meet and learn from one another.

The highlights at ECR 2022 will include many sessions focused on multidisciplinary education by experts from different disciplines. We will learn about the relevant clinical questions and how imaging can impact treatment decisions and outcomes. Apart from an educational programme on imaging innovation for radiologists and radiographers, there will be the In Focus programme, dedicated to patients and their needs. Professional sessions will address timely discussions on a variety of topics such as the radiology of the future, screening programmes and the digital transformation of care.

ECR 2022 will be marked as a congress that has adapted to new times, providing you with a brand-new congress experience. The meeting will breathe interactivity. You will witness ‘open forum’ activities, listen to debates, engage in discussions and meet with R&D industry teams.

I would like to encourage you all to take this opportunity to present your scientific work and be part of ECR 2022. I am excited to welcoming you back to Vienna at ECR 2022!

Prof.Dr. Regina G.H. Beets-Tan
ECR 2022 Programme Planning Committee Chairperson
ESR President
