Another successful meeting of the European Society of Musculoskeletal Radiology (ESSR) was held in Amsterdam from June 13-16 at the NH Krasnapolsky. Being one of the biggest allied science societies of the ESR, with more than 1700 members from around the globe, the ESR is happy to congratulate them on such an achievement.
The popular Hands-On Workshop in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound, offering both basic and advanced levels, took place from June 13-14. This workshop began with a ‘Resident Day’, teaching the basics of shoulder ultrasound, and was followed by a ‘Masterclass on Nerves’ aimed at radiologists with ultrasound experience.
During the next two days, from June 15-16, the main congress and scientific programme focused on ‘Muscle and Nerve’, providing a two-day refresher course for participants. Additional focus sessions were held, concentrating on all other aspects of the musculoskeletal radiology, many of them organised by various ESSR subcommittees: Arthritis, Tumours, Osteoporosis & Metabolism, Pediatric, Sports Imaging and Interventional MSK Radiology.
With almost 1000 congress delegates, the ESSR 2018 reached a new record in participation figures, and is aiming to continue to build on these impressive numbers in future congresses!
ESSR 2019 will take place June 26.-29. in Lisbon, Portugal.
