After its resounding success last year, the Conference on Hybrid Imaging LIve (CHILI) will return on October 25, 2019. For the second time, this conference will be broadcast live as a unique online-only event. CHILI 2.0 is organised by the European Society of Hybrid, Molecular and Translational Imaging (ESHIMT) and the European Society of Radiology (ESR). Attendance is completely free of charge and will be accredited with 6 CME credits. Taken together, this meeting will be one of the hottest conferences in radiology and nuclear medicine this year.
Leading the way in modern congress delivery, ESHIMT and ESR are embracing the global shift to find greener and more sustainable congress formats through their organisation of CHILI 2.0 – a completely virtual conference. While last year’s conference, CHILI 1.0, was broadcast from Barcelona, this year’s CHILI 2.0 will be live-streamed from Vienna in a new state-of-the-art studio.
ESHIMT and ESR hope to build on the success of CHILI in 2018, which saw a total of 2,380 people tuning in to be a part of the virtual congress. Starting from 10:00-16:00 (CEST), the upcoming digital conference will include four sessions of three lectures each. Lecturers are world-renowned imaging experts from Europe and North America, some of them returning from CHILI 1.0. All sessions will be tailored to varying degrees of expertise and interests and will ascend in level of complexity. At the end of each session, there will be a short round table discussion including all speakers of the respective session.
As in 2018, viewers will be able to ask their questions live to the experts. A professional moderator will lead the conference, and moderate discussions amongst the panellists as well as with the online audience. The programme is complemented by short videos of international hybrid imaging sites and statements of hybrid imaging advocates. To view the full programme, click here.
Thomas Beyer, President of ESHIMT, is looking forward to another hot mix of lectures, Q&A’s and roundtable discussions. ‘Organising CHILI last year was one of the highlights of our society’s activities in 2018. Due to the format’s popularity, we decided to keep the conference as an online-only event, as we feel this is the most accessible, affordable and eco-friendly way to present all the latest updates in hybrid imaging. I hope that numerous hybrid imaging affiliates and enthusiasts will register for this year’s conference, and I look forward to sensing you online.’
