July 2022

Vienna, Austria - July 4, 2022 - The European Society of Radiology (ESR) and Bracco announce today the renewal of their partnership for the onsite European Congress of Radiology 2022 on July 13-17 in Vienna, Austria. The partnership, which is the result of valued collaboration between ESR and Bracco, focuses on developing innovative content for the imaging world. Their presence at ESR will include a complete experiential and immersive booth as well as three symposia on radiology and imaging.

After three long years of the Covid-19 crisis, Bracco is pleased to welcome radiologists back to the first post-pandemic congress. At ECR 2022, the company will present their audience with a new portfolio of technologies, products, and scientific programs driven by the need to adapt the healthcare system for a healthier and safer world.

In cooperation with ESR, Bracco’s participation at ECR 2022 will focus on Unlocking the Invisible. Bracco’s technologies and solutions overcome boundaries in order to make the unseen… seeable. Specifically, Bracco is shaping the future of radiology through new real-time imaging in CT, MRI, CEUS, and nuclear medicine to help view life from the inside, fueled by AI solutions.

"ECR 2022 is about more than education; it is about bridges being built between radiologists, radiographers, patients, scientists and the partners, like Bracco, that make it all possible," said Prof. Regina Beets-Tan, ESR President. "Our partnership with Bracco is an integral part of how the congress aims to support radiologists by helping them incorporate new technologies into the healthcare system in order to greatly improve patient care and as medical professionals overall.”

“We are delighted and excited to reinforce our partnership with ESR for the ECR 2022 Congress. The past two years have been challenging on many levels and for everyone, we cannot forget the millions of lives lost, the suffering and grief, and the myriad disruptions to lives and livelihoods. However, this difficult time has made us stronger and we look forward to meeting old and new friends in person and sharing our recent technological advances and new offering aimed at improving healthcare and long-term sustainability” said Dr. Alberto Spinazzi, Chief Medical and Regulatory Officer, Bracco Group.

This June, Bracco is also celebrating its 95th anniversary and is taking this opportunity to contribute to the future of radiology by rewarding 95 fellowships to young radiologists from the ESOR society. The program will be managed by the European School of Radiology (ESOR), and the fellowships, which will be granted between 2023 and 2025, will be used to support the education of young radiologists with a high leadership potential in leading hospitals and health institutions.

During ECR 2022 (July 13-17) Bracco will provide an interactive experience focused on showcasing new ways of building bridges with ECR, radiologists, and patients. Bracco will also host three symposia on:

  • Keeping Pace with CT Technology and Contrast Medium Usage
  • MRI In Abdominal Oncology: An Interactive Discussion of Clinical Cases From Routine Practice
  • Benefits of Liver CEUS and Imaging Correlation in Routine Clinical Practice
