November 2022

The Conference on Hybrid Imaging Live took place last week marking its fifth anniversary. The event proved to be highly popular attracting more than 4,600 hybrid imaging enthusiasts and over 2,200 live viewers from 133 different countries.

As in previous years, CHILI was held as an online-only event and was available to attend free of charge. Organised by the European Society for Hybrid, Molecular and Translational Imaging (ESHIMT) and hosted on ESR Connect, the conference was recorded in the ESR’s own studio based in the heart of Vienna with a completely live programme. The sessions in this full-day programme covered topics focussing on innovations in hybrid imaging, oncology, infection and inflammation and theranostics. Industry partner Bayer also held a satellite symposium in which they discussed radiation dose reduction and optimisation in PET imaging. The event was organised with support from Bayer, Siemens Healthineers and Bracco.

“What we have achieved at this year’s CHILI is remarkable”, stated ESHIMT President Clemens Cyran. “It is incredible just how much quality science and education can be fit into a single day of intense learning. The feedback we have received from attendees this year is that the content and educational experience offered at CHILI continues to improve each year. This has always been our aim and will continue to remain. I would like to express my sincerest gratitude to the faculty, industry partners and, most importantly, the attendees, of CHILI 5.0.”

The entire CHILI 5.0 event can be viewed on demand for free on ESR Connect here.
