The European Society of Radiology and the European Society of Cardiac Radiology have been invited by the International Atomic Energy Agency to participate in the International Conference on Integrated Medical Imaging in Cardiovascular Diseases (IMIC 2016) from 10-14 October 2016 in Vienna, Austria.

This is a follow-up conference to IMIC 2013 and will focus on the current status of medical imaging including SPECT, PET, echocardiography, CT, MRI and the use of hybrid imaging in the management of cardiovascular diseases.

The ESR and ESCR will be represented by speakers covering the topics ‘Imaging ischemic heart disease: role of CCTA’, ‘CTA and cardiac MRI in ischemic heart disease’, ‘Current status of MRI in cardiology’, ‘Cardiac MRI: Case review’ and ‘Other indications for cardiac MRI’.

The ESR also participates in the exhibition at IMIC 2016 in the M Building of the IAEA headquarters at the Vienna International Centre.
