The European Society of Radiology (ESR) and the ESR Journals are proud to announce the launch of the new spin-off journal European Radiology Abdomen. Founded in collaboration with European Society of Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Radiology (ESGAR) and European Society of Urogenital Radiology (ESUR), the journal provides a dedicated platform for high-quality research and innovation in gastrointestinal and genitourinary imaging.
Led by the Editor-in-Chief Valérie Vilgrain (Paris, France), the editorial team comprises of experts in the field of abdominal imaging from both ESUR and ESGAR side: Athina C. Tsili (Ioannina, Greece), Doenja Lambregts (Amsterdam, The Netherlands), and Giorgio Brembilla (Milan, Italy).
“The Journal aims to bridge science and clinical practice by publishing both scientific and clinical content,” said Prof. Vilgrain. “We hope this will enhance the diagnostic accuracy, therapeutic decision-making, and patient outcomes.” The journal is open to submissions of original articles, reviews, letters-to-the-editor, and practice-oriented articles.
“As ESGAR president, I am delighted to celebrate the launch of European Radiology Abdomen”, stated ESGAR President Jaap Stoker. “I foresee the journal to become a highly influential platform for abdominal imaging research and clinical practice.”
“As President of the European Society of Urogenital Radiology, I warmly welcome the launch of European Radiology Abdomen,” said ESUR President Prof. Geert M. Villeirs. “I am confident that this new journal will become an invaluable source of high-quality scientific knowledge and fresh insights for our entire genitourinary radiology community. Moreover, this initiative will further strengthen and deepen the close collaboration between ESUR and the ESR.”
