It is my pleasure to welcome you to a brand-new ESR event, connAction – Radiology Connecting Disciplines.

At the ECR last summer we learnt how collaboration with our clinical partners, scientists, industry partners, and policy makers, is essential to strengthen our value in patient management. Collaboration will not only improve our performance but also provide clearer roadmaps for more efficient care. connAction is about implementing what we have learnt and translating theory into real action. Multidisciplinarity is the name of the game at ESR’s upcoming new event – connAction

On June 1-2, the ESR will host a first-of-its-kind event, connAction - Radiology Connecting Disciplines. This two-day series of scientific and educational sessions will feature some of radiology’s biggest names sharing the stage with key representatives from subspecialties, allied sciences, and a huge range of other medical disciplines. The event will be streamed live online from Vienna and will be freely accessible to all via ESR Connect.

EIBIR coordinates multi-national project set to boost lung cancer screening in Europe

A pioneering new EU4Health project has launched under the Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan, which will facilitate implementation of lung cancer screening programmes across Europe.

The Strengthening the screening of Lung Cancer in Europe (SOLACE) project will break down the barriers to screening to ensure people across all social and economic groups can access it.

European Society of Radiology

Founded in 2005, by merging the European Congress of Radiology (ECR) and the European Association of Radiology (EAR), the European Society of Radiology (ESR) is an apolitical, non-profit organisation dedicated to strengthening and unifying European radiology.

With 130 316 members across the globe, it has grown to become the largest radiological society in the world and hosts one of the biggest and most innovative scientific meetings in Europe, the European Congress of Radiology, in Vienna each year.

The Society works closely with national radiological societies across Europe and further afield, while establishing relationships with major international organisations from other related fields. It also monitors developments on the EU level which could have an impact on research and practice in radiology, with the best interests of the patient as its overriding goal.

The mission of the European Society of Radiology is to serve the healthcare needs of the general public by supporting scientific research, education and training while constantly striving to improve the quality of radiological practice.
