Samsung Partners with ESR to Advance Innovation in Radiology

Vienna, Austria– December 4, 2024. Samsung Electronics and Samsung Medison, a global medical equipment company and an affiliate of Samsung Electronics, announced today a partnership with the European Society of Radiology (ESR) for the upcoming European Congress of Radiology (ECR) to be held from February 26 to March 2 in Vienna. The theme for this year’s congress is Planet Radiology, to consider the ways in which radiology impacts the world we live in.

The collaboration aims to enhance Samsung’s innovation delivering the future of diagnostic imaging through next-generation technologies. ECR 2025, Samsung will emphasize its commitment to healthcare innovation, marking a significant step in its mission to advance the capabilities of radiologists worldwide.

Samsung will showcase its revitalized ultrasound system, ‘RS85 Prestige’ with a new imaging engine, Digital Radiography (DR) system ‘GF85’, mobile Computed Tomography (CT) and software innovations. Samsung recently received CE Mark approval for the GF85. The GF85 is the new floor-mounted DR system, designed for a small footprint and work efficiency in mind. It mirrors the innovative core technology of Samsung’s market proven DR line-up, offering outstanding ease of use, reliable performance and durability.
