If you have been to more than one ECR in recent years

you have noticed the event just keeps getting bigger. Luckily, the area immediately surrounding our main congress building (the Austria Center Vienna) boasts incredible infrastructure and numerous locations perfectly suited to hosting our diverse congress activities. This is why we have added three more special spaces to our congress this year – the DC Tower, the Tech Gate and the DC Box – creating an even bigger ‘ECR City’. All locations are within a short walk of each other and the nearby U-Bahn station, and we have chosen each one to provide a unique setting for the sessions taking place within.

To reach ECR City by public transport from the city centre (Stephansplatz) take the U1 underground line (red line, direction Leopoldau). Get off at Kaisermühlen/Vienna International Centre and take the exit marked Donau-City-Straße.Travelling time: approximately eight minutes.

Saturn Tower

After its successful introduction in 2018, the Sky High Stage (‘Wolke 21’) at the Saturn Tower will once again host the CTiR and MyT3 sessions. Overlooking not only the ACV, but all other areas of the ECR City 2019 and the city of Vienna, this spectacular location will definitely be worth a visit.

Austria Center Vienna

Well-established and home to the ECR for many years, the ACV is the heart of ECR City. Here you can find the registration counters and most of the scientific sessions take place. Its entrance hall is the eye-catching centrepiece and the most popular photo motif of every ECR.

The Church

Is where the brand-new initiative Women in Focus will take place, consisting of a series of special, non-scientific sessions dedicated to women working in healthcare; these sessions will also be open to the public. The Church is located between the underground station and the ACV and opposite our new location DC Box.

DC Tower

The cuboid annex of ECR City’s latest addition will play host to interventional radiology at the Cube 2.0.
Located just a short walk from the ACV and the underground, this contemporary splendour is also where to find and try to solve the Escape Room challenge. Make sure to enter the building through the Meliá Hotel’s entrance on the right-hand side of the tower.

DC Box

Another new addition to the ECR City in 2019 will be the DC box, a building that every participant of any previous ECR has passed when coming from the underground. Opposite the church, the ESR Connect Studio has found its home, where we will make sure that all ECR participants and all those that are not able to travel to Vienna will benefit from the happenings at ECR 2019 via our ECR Online platform.

From the big players to the hottest newcomers they are all present at the ECR 2019 technical exhibition. Make sure to pay special attention to the AIX, our interactive artificial intelligence exhibition with a dedicated theatre, when strolling through this amazing display of technical innovation.

M Building

Only accessible through the Austria Center, this modern conference building rented from the United Nations is a great addition to the main ACV building. The International Village (national society booths) can be found here, as well as a variety of sessions and many meeting rooms.

Where ever you want to go in Vienna, using public transportation is the fastest way to get around. Reach downtown Vienna within 10 minutes or go directly to the airport without any traffic jams. Tickets are available online at shop.wienerlinien.at or at any underground station.

Tech Gate

One of three new additions to the ever expanding ECR City, Tech Gate will host the Guerbet Patient Pathway, an opportunity to explore Guerbet’s solutions used throughout the whole patient pathway. To complement this, Guerbet will provide a comprehensive educational programme of workshops and a symposium. Scientific sessions are to take place in the Auditorium on the entrance level and on level 7 of the building the Rising Stars will find their Lounge, with a breath-taking view of Vienna.

Digital Experience Hall

Immerse yourself in the digital future of healthcare thanks to a new partnership between Siemens Healthineers and the ESR. Delivering a lively forum for discussion and exploration, the Digital Experience Hall shouldn't be missed. Access it via the Plaza or the hallway connecting the ACV and the M-Building.
