The Cube will make its return in style during ECR 2022 (July 13-17, 2022), with a variety of new sessions and exciting hands-on experiences waiting for anyone looking to dive deeper into the field of interventional radiology!

In a dynamic, exciting space, the ECR’s Cube offers a holistic, engaging and hands-on introduction to interventional radiology (IR), covering peripheral, central, oncology and neurological interventions. In addition, for the first time, sessions will also be available for advanced students who wish to take their Interventional Radiology skills to the next level.

Enjoy interactive sessions delivered by experienced interventionalists, train on the latest simulators in our popular Simulator Adventure Park and ask experts in the field all the questions you ever wanted to know the answers to!

We look forward to seeing you at the Cube at the ECR 2022!

Cube @ ECR 2022 Programme

The Cube is a feature event of the European Congress of Radiology, held annually in Vienna.

The Cube will take place during ECR 2022 from July 13-17, 2022, at the Austria Center (ACV) in Vienna. For the first time ever, the Cube will be held directly in ECR's main congress venue, bringing the event closer to you!

The Cube provides an interactive introduction to IR. Thus, it is suited to young physicians, students, radiologists, radiographers, nurses and anyone else who wants to learn about this fascinating field.

All registered participants of ECR 2022 will have access to the Cube Area and will be able to attend the scientific sessions as well as the hands-on simulations at the Simulator Adventure Park.

Yes. Please contact us via [email protected] for more information on how your company can participate in the Cube at ECR 2022.

The Cube is organised and run by the European Society of Radiology (ESR). It relies upon the support of a number of industry partners and specialists who present simulations and interactive presentations.

The Cube’s structure and programme are guided by the chairs, PD Dr. Maximilian de Bucourt (Berlin/DE) and Prof. Christian Loewe (Vienna/AT), as well as four daily topic coordinators:

  • Raúl García Marcos (Valencia/ES) for the Peripheral Day,
  • Miltiadis Krokidis (Cambridge/UK) for the Central Day,
  • Gianpaolo Carrafiello (Milan/IT) for the Oncological Day and
  • Jean-Pierre Pruvo (Lille/FR) for the Neurological Day.

The European Federation of Radiographer Societies (EFRS) is also collaborating in the 2022 Cube's organisation, in an effort to welcome more radiographers to the Cube.
