The Cube – Unconventional.Interventional
The Cube – ECR’s highly anticipated Interventional Radiology event – will be returning for ECR 2025, from February 26 to March 1, in Vienna, Austria.
Under the theme ‘Unconventional. Interventional‘, the Cube provides interactive, hands-on introductions to various IR fields, including peripheral, onco, central, and neuro interventions, and serve as a creative learning environment that fosters exchange with specialists, IR experts and industry partners.
ECR 2025 participants can attend introductory and advanced sessions by experienced interventionalists, practice on the latest simulators and devices in the Simulator Adventure Park, refine their skills and immerse themselves in the future of interventional radiology.

The Cube is a feature event of the European Congress of Radiology, held annually in Vienna.
In 2025, it will take place during ECR 2025 from February 26 to March 1, at the Austria Center (ACV) in Vienna.
The Cube provides an interactive introduction to IR. Thus, it is suited to young physicians, students, radiologists, radiographers, nurses and anyone else who wants to learn about intervention radiology.
All registered participants of ECR 2025 will have access to the Cube area and will be able to attend the scientific sessions as well as the hands-on simulations at the Simulator Adventure Park.

Cube Programme Planning Group
The Cube is organised and run by the European Society of Radiology (ESR). It relies upon the support of a number of industry partners and specialists who present simulations and interactive presentations.
The Cube’s structure and programme are guided by the chairs, PD Dr. Maximilian de Bucourt (Berlin/DE) and Prof. Christian Loewe (Vienna/AT), as well as four daily topic coordinators and two advanced topic coordinators:
