The ESR would like to whole-heartedly congratulate Charlotte Beardmore on her inclusion in the UK’s 2024 New Years Honours list, where she is recognised for her extraordinary commitment and service to radiography. This honour, which recognises Ms. Beardmore as a Commander of the Order of the British Empire, is awarded to people who have made significant achievements in public life. It is a highly prestigious award, demonstrating her extraordinary work in the field of medical imaging. Ms. Beardmore is the Executive Director for Professional Policy of The Society of Radiographers and a past president of the European Federation of Radiographer Societies. She is also a valued and highly active ESR member, currently serving on the ESR’s Patient Advisory Group. The ESR would like to thank her for her contributions to the field.
