ECR 2024 to offer a glimpse into the future with Innovation in Focus programme

Vienna, Austria – January 25, 2024 – The European Congress of Radiology (ECR) 2024will organise a groundbreaking programme this year, offering visitors the chance to step into the future of medical imaging and learn more about what tomorrow’s radiology will look like. Innovation in Focus will feature an array of thought-provoking sessions, discussions, and expert panel discussion, all dedicated to pushing the boundaries of medical imaging.

The programme, coordinated by radiologists Daniel Pinto dos Santos from Cologne, and Martina Pecoraro from Rome, and envisioned by Congress President Carlo Catalano from Rome, promises to be a highlight of ECR 2024, focussing on how radiology is currently transcending the boundaries of the present, converging innovation and discovery to reshape the landscape of patient well-being.

The diverse lineup of sessions will provide attendees with unique insights into the latest advancements, trends, and challenges shaping the future of medical imaging, covering integrated diagnostics, research contributions to population health, high-quality data collection, sustainability in radiology, interventional radiology’s impact, and the transformative potential of large language models in radiology reporting and research.

The full preliminary programme can be viewed now here.

Innovation in Focus is inspired by the ECR 2024 theme, “Next Generation Radiology”. Through an extraordinary mix of scientific, educational and industry sessions, held alongside a huge technical exhibition and stunning social programme, ECR 2024 promises to act as a remarkable looking-glass into the rapidly changing world of radiology.
