ESR and EBR Announce Inaugural Prof. Laura Oleaga Educational Grant Winners

Vienna/Barcelona, December 4, 2023 – The European Society of Radiology (ESR) and the European Board of Radiology (EBR) take pleasure in unveiling the recipients of the first-ever Prof. Laura Oleaga Educational Grant.

This distinguished grant is strategically designed to facilitate entry to the European Diploma in Radiology (EDiR) examination, particularly in countries where it holds recognition. These countries are Croatia, Finland, India, Pakistan, Poland, Slovenia, the Netherlands, and Türkiye. Additionally, the grant’s scope extends to the ECR 2024 ‘ESR Meets’ countries Argentina, Italy, and Singapore.

Among the applications received, the jury, consisting of the EDiR Scientific Board and the ESR Board of Directors, faced the challenging task of selecting three winners. Given the exceptional quality of applicants in this inaugural edition, a unanimous decision led to the awarding of the grant to four outstanding candidates.

The esteemed winners, who will be granted exclusive access to the EDiR at ECR 2024, along with complimentary entry to the congress and a travel grant of €1,000, are as follows:

  1. Angela Ammirabile, Italy
  1. Stuti Chandola, India
  1. Stephan Koene, The Netherlands

Our heartfelt congratulations extend to these deserving grant recipients, and we commend all applicants for their exceptional credentials.
