ECR 2024 so far witnessed the submission of abstracts from a diverse array of professionals spanning the globe, originating from an impressive 101 different countries. Submissions extended beyond radiology, encompassing contributions from radiographers, medical physicists, and experts hailing from various other medical disciplines.
The countries with the highest number of abstract submissions this year were:

ESR President Prof. Carlo Catalano expressed his enthusiasm on the first results of abstract submission. “I am profoundly grateful to all who have submitted abstracts for ECR 2024. The palpable excitement for the upcoming meeting and the themes it will explore is heartening to see. An impressive influx of abstracts is instrumental in shaping a congress that is not only academically enriching but also culturally diverse, and the submissions we have received so far in recent months undoubtedly guarantee this for ECR 2024. With a second submission phase still ahead of us we might be moving towards an all-time high in submitted abstracts”.
For those who did not submit an abstract, but would still like to, a second late-breaking abstract submission period will open on December 20, 2023 to January 15, 2024.
With the current abstract submission period now over, the ESR looks forward to continuing its preparations for ECR 2024, an event which promises to be an exceptional gathering of minds, and an opportunity to discover the future of radiology and take an active role in shaping it.
With its visionary theme of ‘Next Generation Radiology’, ECR 2024 is set to venture into new horizons and will be dedicated to ushering in the future of radiology, fostering collaboration, and exchanging groundbreaking scientific advancements among clinicians, patients, global healthcare stakeholders, and industry leaders. This theme underscores the congress’s commitment to shaping the evolution of radiology for the generations to come.
