Through a dedicated campaign, the European Society of Radiology has seen a strong increase in membership registrations in August. This new wave comes as the deadline to be eligible for reduced fees for ECR 2024 looms, with August 31 being the final date to take advantage of this benefit through ESR membership.
The campaign, which has consisted of a wide array of multi-language ads across various marketing channels as well as a variety of captivating social media promotions, was started at the end of July. It acted as a reminder for the upcoming deadline, whilst also highlighting the many benefits that ESR members are eligible for. The campaign has seen significant results with further increases expected in the final week of August.
The countries that have seen the largest increase in membership registrations during the campaign period are:
- United Kingdom
- Germany
- Greece
- Italy
- Portugal
The ESR currently has the highest membership rate of any radiological society worldwide, with 131,863 members from 188 countries.
ESR membership, which comes at a maximum of 11€ or even free of charge if residing outside of Europe, offers many benefits including discounted rates for ECR and access to European Radiology, the ESR’s flagship journal. In addition, members are eligible to take part in the European Diploma in Radiology, as well as discounted or free access to numerous ESOR courses and other educational events hosted on ESR Connect.
To become a member in 2023, and be eligible for discounted rates for ECR 2024, radiologists, trainees and other medical professionals must submit their membership application by August 31 at the latest.
